Program a Genie Pro Max Garage Door Opener
The Genie Company released their first radio-controlled residential garage-door opener in 1954. In the years since, Genie has earned a solid reputation for producing reliable garage-door opener units with convenient, user-friendly features. The Genie Pro Max is a residential chain drive garage-door opener that features a permanently lubricated gear housing for improved performance. Before you can use your Genie Pro Max opener, you must program the remote to the power head unit.
Instructions
1. Remove the lens cap on the back of the garage-door opener's power head unit, and set it aside.
2. Locate the Learn Code button in the bottom right-hand corner at the front of the power head.
3. Press the Learn Code button. The LED indicator above the button will begin flashing.
4. Press the button on your Genie garage-door opener remote. Note that the LED indicator above the Learn Code button is solid and no longer flashing.
5. Press the button on the garage-door opener remote a second time. The LED indicator will go out, indicating that the system has been programmed successfully.
Tips Warnings
If you have a Genie Pro Max remote with more than one button, repeat Steps 1 through 5 to program each button individually.
Holding the garage-door opener remote too close to the power head antenna may prevent successful programming. For best results, hold the remote no closer than two feet from the antenna during the programming process.
