The Compaq Presario 2100 is a laptop made by Hewlett Packard. It comes with either a 14.1 or 15 inch screen, a built-in CD, DVD or DVD/CD-RW combo drive and an integrated floppy drive. One of the best features of the Presario 2100 is its long battery life. While the battery may seem as though it will last forever, there will come a time when you need to change out the old battery for a new one. Buying a new battery and replacing it yourself is much more economical than taking it to the computer shop to have it replaced.
Instructions
1. Turn the laptop upside down. This gives you access to the battery cover.
2. Move the battery cover lock to the unlocked position, which is marked by an open padlock. Slide the old battery all the way out of the laptop.
3. Slide the new battery into the battery compartment slowly, putting the connector end in first. Keep pushing it in until it latches. Slide the battery cover lock back over into the locked position, marked by a closed padlock.
