Make your own strawberry smoothie.
A strawberry yogurt smoothie is a good breakfast option when you don't have time to cook and a refreshing alternative when you're in the mood for a sweet shake. This strawberry yogurt smoothie relies on frozen strawberries to flavor the drink and thicken it. Experiment with different fruits and flavors for a more exotic treat. If you prefer, you can sweeten the smoothie with honey, agave nectar or a sugar substitute.
Instructions
1. Spoon 1/2 cup yogurt into the blender. You can use plain, vanilla or strawberry yogurt, or choose a contrasting flavor, such as blueberry.
2. Pour 1/2 cup milk into the blender and add 8 frozen strawberries.
3. Flavor the smoothie by adding up to 3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of vanilla. You can also add a little cinnamon if you wish.
4. Blend on high until the frozen strawberries have been mashed up and the drink is a smooth consistency. If it's too thick, add more milk.
5. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy it right away.
