Folk Remedies To Remove Warts & Skin Tags

Warts are skin growths caused by exposure to the human papillomavirus (HPV). They are noncancerous growths that are caused by an overgrowth of cells on the surface of your skin. These grainy, fleshy, small, rough growths can be tan, white or pink in color. People with compromised immune systems and weak immunological function are more susceptible to contracting HPV. There are some great folk remedies for warts.

Green Tea

Green tea is an herb used to treat cardiovascular issues, reduce cholesterol levels in your body, and reduce pain. This herb is an antiviral agent and protects you from ulcer formations in your digestive tract. Green tea is also rich in antioxidants and offers free radical-destroying benefits. Free radicals in your body are capable of destroying healthy cell structures. Consume 250 to 500 milligrams of green tea in capsule form to derive its antiviral effects and to help alleviate common wart conditions. Green tea should not be used by individuals that experience heart palpitations.

Cat's Claw

Cat's claw has anti-inflammatory agents and encourages the proper functioning of your immune system. This herb is particularly beneficial for individuals with a weakened or compromised immune system. Cat's claw is often used to treat skin allergies, dermatitis, acne and arthritic conditions. It is equally good for herpes, irritable bowel syndrome and certain cancers. You can consume the herb as an extract by taking 20 milligrams 36 times a day to support your immune system and derive this herb's antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties.

Reishi Mushroom

Reishi mushrooms offer powerful immune restorative agents and are used for blood sugar regulation and cholesterol reduction. Reishi mushrooms also help to alleviate sleep disturbances, fatigue, and anxiety. Take Reishi mushrooms in capsule form at a dosage of 150 to 300 milligrams two to three times each day. You can also use Reishi mushroom by taking 30 to 60 drops of the extract diluted in a cup of water two to three times daily.

Thuja

Thuja is a natural immune system stimulant and can be used to treat conditions like laryngitis and bronchitis. This herb has astringent and antiseptic properties. Apply this herb topically for the fast removal of common warts. Use one to two droppers full of Thuja tincture two or three times a day on the warts that appear on your hands, feet or fingernails. You should not use this herb if you are pregnant or nursing.

Bloodroot

Bloodroot is a rhizome that is red in coloring; this herb is used externally to treat skin conditions, skin cancer formations and warts. Apply bloodroot topically to warts by using 15 to 20 drops of bloodroot tincture in divided doses throughout the day. This herb is highly acridic and may cause a burning sensation when first applied to your skin; as the tincture air dries, the burning sensation diminishes. Avoid getting bloodroot in your eyes; the acridic properties in this herb can cause irritation.
