A wedding bulletin serves as a guide to your wedding and a keepsake for your guests. Including personal touches to the traditional basics is a simple way to enhance the memories of your special day.
Picture Background
Use a picture of the bride and groom as the background for your bulletin. Select an engagement photo, a studio photo of the couple taken in high quality, or in the case of a blended family, the couple with their children. For a bit more creativity, select pictures of the bride as a child or of the couple at the time they met. Choosing a picture of the church or marriage location is an option, or of the home the new couple will live in. Consider the background of the picture before selecting, taking into consideration the color of print for wording. Arrange a meeting with your printer to discuss the best options for the picture and the printing.
Memorials
Include a memorial section in your bulletin to include persons important to the bride and groom who are now deceased. Have the related party write a brief description of the person and his importance. Have a groom who has lost his parents or grandparents write a memory list or an open letter to the person who is missing this moment in his life or a bride write a poem to deceased family members who would have been part of her ceremony. Mutual friends of the couple no longer living can be memorialized by the bride and groom separately or in a joint selected poem. Any children of either party who have died should also be included in the special section.
Songs and Poems
Include lyrics to songs and poems personal to the bride and groom in the bulletin. Choose the lyrics to the bride and groom's special song as a background for the bulletin in faded lettering, or around the edge of the paper to form a border in fancy script lettering. Have the bride and groom write special dedications to one another and include at the beginning of the document under the names and dates of the occasion or write a joint dedicational poem to their guests. Personalized poems from the maid of honor and best man are welcome additions as well as writings from the parents or children of the bridal couple. Place well wishes from those unable to attend the ceremony at the end of the bulletin.
