Use A Heating Pad For C Section Pain Relief

A c-section or cesarean section is a surgical procedure where a baby is born by cutting through the abdominal wall of the mother. This procedure is used when a standard birth is not possible due to the health of the mother, the baby or both being compromised in some way. This incision made through the abdomen remains sore and painful for a long time after giving birth but many women find a lot relief by using a simple heating pad.

Instructions

1. Plug the heating pad into an electrical outlet near your bed or a comfortable chair. Use an extension cord if you need to make the pad reach where you want to rest.

2. Turn the pad on to the lowest heat setting and let it warm up for 10 minutes.

3. Lay or sit down where you want to rest and place the heating pad on top of your incision. Position yourself so the heating pad touches all of the sore area.

4. Leave the heating pad in place for 20 minutes before removing it. Turn the heating pad off when you remove it.

5. Wait 1 hour and you can put the pad back on if the pain returns.
