Healthy Diet
No diet can cure MS; however, a healthy eating routine can keep you in good shape and help you meet the challenges MS will bring to your life. A healthy diet composed of high-fiber and low-fat options can help keep your immune system strong, which is also important in combating the symptoms of MS.
Some evidence supports the idea that a diet low in saturated fat and supplemented by omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids (found in fish and sunflower oil, respectively) can improve conditions for people who suffer from MS. In general, however, no special diet program is needed; MS sufferers simply need to eat healthy, well-balanced meals, including proper proportions from the Food Pyramid. Doing so will help to maintain healthy bodies and ward off the effects of MS.

Having an active social life can be important to emotional or psychological well-being. For people fighting a debilitating disease, this is essential in maintaining a positive attitude and feeling prepared to face the symptoms of that disease.
Fatigue can be a regular problem for people who suffer from MS, so getting plenty of rest is essential in dealing with this condition. Try to take time out for yourself daily, and do something you enjoy. You may want to take a walk, read a book, or spend time with friends; doing any of these things can improve your outlook on life and help you feel more prepared to deal with your MS as its symptoms occur.
