Work gloves are essential gear in many industries, designed to prevent injury and dismemberment, severe burns, and cuts, among other things. Latex work gloves are ideal for janitors and/or housekeepers who use cleaning solutions daily rather that weekly. These rubber work gloves lessen the harm that these harsh chemicals cause.
Cowhide Reflective
Reflective gloves, frequently constructed of pigskin or cowhide with reflective tape, are used for night workers who perform their duties outdoors. For those who work at night, the reflective tape provides worker visibility, thereby offering a measure of protection, for example, when repairing roads.
Thermal--NFPA Approved
Thermal gloves are worn by fire fighters, welders and those who work with high temperature levels. These gloves are constructed of three layers with an outer, inner and thermal layer. The gloves are often built of proprietary materials, including Kovenex or Eska. Whichever flame resistant material is used, it is NFPA approved. The cuff must extend above the wrist, but not so high up that it restricts wrist movement, which is needed to perform the duties of a fire fighter, such as rescue, climbing a latter or working with a fire hose.
