Stress and daily pressures can often affect sleep patterns and filter into dreams. A good night's sleep and pleasant dreams can also influence daily moods. The use of color, crystals and meditation can influence the dream pattern as well. By choosing the appropriate crystal to impact the area in your life you want to enhance while dreaming, you can significantly alter your dreams and help you discover the answers you have been seeking.

1. Prepare your dreaming environment by removing objects and clutter around your bed space. Lillian Too's book "Lillian Too's 168 Feng Shui Ways to Declutter Your Home" states, "Your sleeping space must always be checked for and cleared of negative energy. ... Start by clearing out all the clutter under the bed. ... Place an amethyst geode under the foot of the bed."
In the "The Encyclopedia of Crystals," Judy Hall writes, "Amethyst encourages selflessness and spiritual wisdom. Opening multidimensional awareness, it enhances metaphysical abilities and is an excellent stone for meditation."
2. Choose the area of your life you want to enhance or change, such as love, money or healing. This will impact the type of crystal needed for your dream state. In her book "Your Crystal Code," Teresa Moorey states, "Each crystal embodies a certain purpose that is just for you. ... Apply your crystal ... to all life situations and discover your path to personal fulfillment."
For example, if love is your concern, choose a crystal such as rose quartz to enhance your dream state. "The Crystal Code" also states, "One of the most truly loving crystals of all, rose quartz brings peace, acceptance, healing and affection."
3. Meditate with your crystal for a few minutes prior to falling asleep. Place your crystal in your hand and begin to allow clear visions to surface during your meditation. "Your Crystal Code" states, "Tell yourself that you are going to dream, that you will remember what you have dreamt. ... In all probability, you will wake the next morning with some recollection of a dream."
4. Focus your energy on what type of solution you are seeking during your dream state. Envision the solution you are seeking for your present concern. Crystal therapy is combined with your intentions and the use of positive affirmations, which you can repeat to yourself while falling asleep. The calmer you feel, the better effect your crystal will have during your dreaming state.
5. Position your crystals inside your pillow case, or use a separate small, zippered casing in the same color of the crystal to enhance the color therapy. Place it underneath your pillow or under your mattress. Make sure you are comfortable with the crystal's position prior to falling asleep.
