Tell If You Have Ocd

OCD or Obsessive Compulsive Disorder affects millions of people around the world. Many people even live their whole lives with OCD not even aware that they have it. OCD symptoms are easily recognizable without having to take an OCD test or visit a doctor. Obsessive compulsive disorder is the unwanted presence of obsessions and compulsions. Repetitive actions such as compulsive hand washing or having to do something a certain way or number of times can be clear signs you have OCD.

Instructions

1. So how do you know if you are OCD? Start by understanding the symptoms of OCD. OCD can present itself in many different forms. OCD obsessive thoughts are in your mind, while OCD actions are physical habits or repitions. I have listed a great article at the bottom of the page in the resource section that lists and discusses the different symptoms of OCD.

2. Take an online OCD test. Here is a great Online Clinical Self-Test for OCD and Anxiety Disorders. Now these online tests are just simple screening methods and should not be used to diagnose a serious metal disorder. They will however give you an idea of the behaviors and patterns associated with someone who has obsessive compulsive disorder. Only a qualified mental health professional can officially diagnose OCD.

3. Consult your local Psychologist or Psychiatrist who has experience when it comes to the treatment and diagnosis of OCD. A qualified Psychologist will be able to evaluate a combination of contribution factors and symptoms that are commonly associated with obsessive compulsive disorder.
