Use Ravensara Essential Oil

Ravensara is an easy-to-use essential oil that has many general uses around the house. Learn explore the physical and mental benefits of this aromatherapy oil.

Instructions

For Physical Effects

1. Ravensara is strong against viral infections and can be used to relieve the symptoms of respiratory infections. Try putting a few drops in a room diffuser or inhale it with steam for whooping cough, sinusitis and other bronchial infections.

2. Use ravensara as a muscle relaxant in massage oil or massage cream by adding no more than 10 drops to 1 ounce of carrier oil base. Ravensara is considered non-irritating to the skin and can relieve excess muscle tension.

3. For a portable diffuser, put 3 drops on a cotton ball in a film canister and you can carry it with you in your pocket or purse. When you need to relieve a cough on the go, pop the lid off and inhale the aroma.

For Mental Effects

4. Ravensara has an anti-depressant effect similar to rosemary oil but is not as strong and can act in both clarifying and stimulating ways. Inhale the aroma from the film canister or an essential oil room diffuser.

5. Combine ravensara essential oil with rosemary, rosewood, or tangerine essential oil to combat feelings of apathy. These "pick-me-up" essential oils will help increase energy and mental concentration.

6. Use ravensara in combination with frankincense, ginger or grapefruit essential oils to help your mood. Ravensara essential oil can sweeten or enhance the other oils it is mixed with, so try using more than one oil if you want to try something new.
