Make An Olive Oil Night Cream For Oily Skin

Make an Olive Oil Night Cream for Oily Skin

Many women with oily skin fear that putting any kind of creams on their face will encourage breakouts. However, the right night cream can benefit your skin and give moisture without causing acne. There's no need to spend money on expensive night creams with ingredients you can't pronounce. This homemade night cream won't break the bank and works just as well as higher end brands. With a few pointers and homemade ingredients, you can whip up an effective night cream for oily skin, in your kitchen.

Instructions

1. Melt the beeswax and olive oil in a double boiler, using a whisk to stir it well. This ensures that no lumps remain in your finished mixture.

2. Set the olive oil and beeswax mixture aside for 5 to 10 minutes to return it to room temperature.

3. Whisk in the vinegar and the water. Vinegar helps eliminate excess oil and restores the skin's natural pH balance.

4. Whisk until no lumps remain and pour the mixture into an empty container with a lid. You may want to use a plastic container that won't break and spill the mixture if you drop it.

5. Allow the mixture to cool in the refrigerator for an hour so that it can solidify. If the mixture is still runny, applying it to the face can be messy.

6. Use the night cream as you might use any consumer brand night cream. This mixture will keep in the refrigerator for up to four weeks.
