Treat A Cold With Thieves Oil

Throughout generations, thieves have been some of the most cunning individuals in the human race. This is extremely evident in a story from the Middle Ages, during the height of the Black Plague in Europe. A set of thieves would mix a number of essential oils, such as sage and cinnamon, and apply it to their bodies to prevent themselves from catching the Black Plague when they broke into homes to steal. If these oils can prevent the spread of the Black Plague, they can certainly help to treat your cold.

Instructions

1. Choose a thieves oil from a health store that contains oils recommended to treat a cold. The most popular oils used to treat colds are mixtures of lavender, lemon, rosemary and eucalyptus. Consult with an expert at a retailer if you're unsure what type of oils to use.

2. Add thieves oil mixture to an oil diffuser and allow it to diffuse for 10 to 20 minutes. Repeat every 4 hours to kill contagious germs in the air and help to clean out congestion caused by a cold.

3. Place 2 drops of thieves oil blend onto your chest and gently rub into your skin. This will loosen congestion and phlegm and controlling coughing.

4. Rub 2 drops of thieves oil onto your lymph nodes and pressure points to help kill bacteria and viruses. These areas can include the space under your jaw, under your arms and at the base of your neck.

5. Apply 1 to 2 drops of thieves oil to the bottoms of your feet and rub in for general health and system cleansing.
