Prevent Cardiogenic Shock

Cardiogenic shock stems from a weakened heart. In its weakened state, the heart doesn't supply the body needed supply of blood. It is a very serious condition and needs to be treated immediately. It can be fatal. Live a lifestyle that protects your heart to prevent cardiogenic shock.


Instructions


1. Eat a low-fat diet. Add plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. Supply your body with the right type of nutrients.


2. Limit your salt intake. Keeping a low sodium diet offers great benefits to your body, and more importantly, to your heart.








3. If you are overweight, lose the excess weight. Talk with your doctor and a nutritionist on the best way for you to lose weight.


4. If you smoke, quit immediately. Smoking has many harmful effects on your body. Quitting will benefit your heart and many other parts of your body.


5. Be physically active. Cardio and aerobic exercise is great for heart. Find a way to be active that you will also enjoy. This way you will have a higher chance of sticking with it.


6. Control your cholesterol. If you have high cholesterol, you may need to take medication to lower it. Your doctor will also advise an balanced diet and exercise to lower the cholesterol.


7. Control your blood pressure. If you have a history of high blood pressure, your doctor will prescribe medication to better control it. Also, eliminate the stress from your life that could be causing high blood pressure.


8. If you have diabetes, control your blood sugar. Diet and physical activity helps with this. Also, you may have to take medications to control your blood sugar.
