Arthritis pain can be especially difficult to treat but herbal remedies have been used for centuries. From general products to ailment-specific formulas, Chinese liniments offer relief by natural, inexpensive means.
Instructions
1. Identify the source of the soreness. In terms of utilizing Chinese liniment as a pain reliever, two types of tenderness can be identified: age-related, achy-joint arthritic pain or rheumatoid arthritis.
2. Identify which category your pain fits in and choose a coinciding liniment. If you are experiencing arthritis pain associated with aging, achy-joints, you will want to utilize a warming formula. If you are experiencing pain from swollen, rheumatoid arthritis, you will need to apply a liniment of cooling herbs. Dit Da Jow Bruise Liniment Extra Strength is a formula specially devised to stop pain and reduce swelling and inflammation---especially beneficial for those suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, while Tiger Balm is a warming formula, excellent for warming joints and increasing circulation in arthritic regions.
3. Cleanse and thoroughly dry the skin in the area to be treated. Measure a small amount of the liniment to be used and apply by massaging into skin. Be very conscious of the amount, especially with the warming liniments, the effects can be quite intense. Loosely cover the area if desired, but beware than tight wrapping or bandaging can intensify the effects of the product.
4. Use the liniment as needed---up to three or four times daily. Continue use as desired but realize this treatment is not considered a cure.
