Make Herbal Detox Tea

Make Herbal Detox Tea

Herbal detox tea can be used to cleanse the liver, kidney, colon, blood, bowels, and all other organs. It's best combined with a nourishing diet of simple foods and regular exercise. This detox tea recipe contains several different herbs, any of which may be left out and replaced with an extra part of any other detox herbs as necessary.

Instructions

1. Add two parts each dried red clover blossoms, dried dandelion leaf, dried stinging nettle, and dried cleavers, and one part dried chaparral leaf to a dark colored glass jar. Shake well to thoroughly combine. Each of these detox herbs will work to cleanse the body, blood, and organs of toxins.

2. Bring four cups of distilled or spring water to a rolling boil. Measure out two tbsp. of the detox tea mixture and place it into a coffee mug or other heat proof drinking container. Pour the boiling water over the herbs.

3. Add one tsp. freshly grated ginger to the tea to counteract the bitter flavor of the chaparral leaf, if desired. A pinch of stevia sweetener may be also be used. Cover, and allow the detox herb tea to steep for 10-15 minutes.

4. Pour the detox herbal tea through a fine mesh sieve, allowing the liquid to fall into a separate clean mug or heat proof container. Discard the spent herbs in the compost pile or garbage bin. Serve immediately while warm.
