Crystals & Stones That Are Good For The Skin

Crystals & Stones That Are Good for the Skin

Crystals and stones have been used for many different purposes for thousands of years. These beautiful gifts from the earth provide a plethora of different stimulating and healing properties that can be used for a variety of different ailments, including skin issues. Choosing the right one for your needs can be a fun and exciting venture, adding beauty as well as therapeutic energy into your life. According to Flora Peschek-Bohmer, Ph.D., Gisela Schreiber, and Doreen Virtue, Ph.D., these are the crystals and stones that are most beneficial to help with the skin.

Soapstone

Soapstone is a very beneficial stone for the skin. If you have red, itchy patches, you can apply a soapstone to the area. There are ointments that are made with soapstone which help alleviate chronic skin problems on larger patches of skin. Allergies, acne and sunburn have all been treated with soapstone ointment. Since soapstone is quite soft and easily ground, you can use the powder for sweaty hands. It has also been used to cleanse the skin.

Moss Agate

Moss agate is a wonderful stone that helps with insulin production, regulates metabolism, aids digestion, strengthens the immune system, fights bacterial and viral infections, and helps to cleanse the kidneys and lymph system. Moss agate that is submerged in water will energetically charge the water and will help to calm inflammation if the liquid is drunk.

Aventurine

Aventurine is a multipurpose crystal for skin ailments. If you submerge the crystal in water overnight, you can wash your skin and hair with the energetically charged water to help with acne, allergies, flaky skin, dandruff, hair loss and many other skin irritations. It also helps heal wounds.

Rhodochrosite

Rhodochrosite helps stimulate the blood circulation and assists in opening up hard or narrow arteries. This helps stimulate cell growth, which will help to rejuvenate the skin.

Onyx

Onyx helps soften and smooth the skin, as well as helping combat infection in wounds, fungal infections, sunburn and inflammation. The effects of onyx are a bit slow. You can place the stone directly on the body or wear it as jewelry. Another option is to apply onyx water to the affected area several times a day or apply an onyx water compress at night.

Azurite

Azurite is used for its strong medicinal properties. The stone stimulates and speed up the healing process of wounds to the skin.

Malachite

Malachite has been used for pain and healing of the skin by placing it directly on the skin. It absorbs the ailment and should be cleansed among tumbled stones frequently and charged regularly among rock crystals to keep it working efficiently without retaining the negative energy that it has absorbed.
