Start An Exercise Swap

Bored with your fitness routine? Have friends or family members that exercise regularly? Learn change up your fitness routine without over thinking.

Instructions

Start an Exercise Swap

1. Find a friend that is currently physically active or trying to be more healthy. Meet and discuss your individual fitness goals. (You do not need to have the same fitness goals to use this technique.)

2. Monitor your own workout for a week. Record everything you do, including how many reps and sets. Ask your friend to do the same. Are you on a routine that is getting stale? Are you not seeing as many results? At the end of the week, review what each of you have done and the results how have achieved.

3. Each of you will need to research a new fitness routine if you are both doing the same thing. Flip through fitness magazines for ideas. If both of you need to find a routine, choose two different magazines. Follow the recommended routine for at least three weeks in order to see results.

4. At the end of three weeks, swap routines and discuss results from following the routine. Help each other get acclimated to the routine, teaching proper form.

5. If you and your swap friend are not doing the same routine and feel comfortable swapping right away, follow the guidelines for swapping every three weeks. Then follow step 4.
