Stop Thinking Hair Loss

It doesn't matter if you are a man or woman; hair loss is not an easy thing to deal with. Sometimes it is just an unlucky draw of the genetic cards, and other times it is the result of nutrient or hormone deficiencies. Although more treatments for hair loss are being developed every day, there is still no concrete cure. Even though it's very hard to not be constantly reminded of your hair loss, it isn't impossible. It just takes a few procedures that can put your mind in another place.

Instructions

1. Do the best with what you have. Despite your hair loss, you have passions and abilities. Make the best of these abilities. For example, if you are good at writing and you have a passion for raw organic foods, start writing a raw-food cookbook. This will require a lot of mental energy and focus, which will distract you from thinking about hair loss.

2. Look at the big picture. In reality, hair loss is just that: a loss of hair. It is painless, and it is not terminal. Constantly remind yourself that there are a lot worse things that can happen to you, such as cancer and heart disease. Be grateful for what you do have.

3. Focus on your body. Another way to take your mind off hair loss is to get into the best shape you can. You may not have a full head of hair, but you still have a body to work on. This can also distract your mind, as you need concentration to lift weights and run on treadmills.

4. Draw attention to other areas. An example of this would be growing facial hair. This will take the focus off your head and attract the eye to your face. Get creative, too. Develop a goatee and/or unique facial-hair pattens.

5. Get involved with long projects. Some examples include painting, knitting, working on cars or putting together difficult puzzles with a lot of pieces. Make sure the projects take several days to do. This will consume a great deal of your time and take your mind off your hair loss.
