Drink Sea Salt Water

For people suffering from gastrological problems, a laxative may seem like the clear choice to clear their bowels. However, laxatives only work on the colon, which is a small portion of the gastrointestinal track that suffers when someone has constipation or gas. Drinking a mixture of water and sea salt can help to clean out your entire intestinal track, relieving painful stomach and gastrological problems.

Instructions

1. Begin with a chemical, over-the-counter laxative medicine if you want to add a boost to the sea salt mixture. If you decide to use a laxative for a preliminary bowel cleansing, take the laxative at least two days before beginning the sea salt cleanse.

2. Drink a mild herbal laxative tea the night before you plan to begin your sea salt regimen, if you choose. Not as powerful as the over the counter laxative medicines, a laxative tea will simply loosen any buildups or blockages in your intestinal system to aid with the cleansing.

3. Mix two teaspoons of sea salt into one quart of water, or a whole tablespoon of sea salt into two quarts of water. You can heat the water so that it is like drinking tea, or add a teaspoon of lemon or lime juice to offset the taste of the salt water.

4. Drink the water-sea salt mixture in the morning before you eat anything. Drinking the mixture will result in a number of bowel movements throughout the day. If you find that it is not working, add another teaspoon of sea salt to the mixture.
