Use A Tuning Fork Frequency For Healing

Tuning forks have been used throughout history to keep musical instruments in tune. Now that the healing power of musical vibrations have been discovered, many people are incorporating tuning forks into their meditation, massage, hypnosis, psychotherapy, reiki or other healing practices. Tuning forks can be used for overall stress reduction and healing or applied to certain body parts, chakras or meridians for very specific healing. Some tuning forks come in sets specifically designed for frequency healing and are designed to stimulate certain areas or energies.

Instructions

1. Find a quiet, peaceful place to practice your tuning fork frequency healing. Because sound and sound vibrations are the primary healing modalities of tuning forks, the quieter your location is the better.

2. Get familiar with your tuning fork or your set of tuning forks; practice just listening to the tones before using them for healing.

3. Assume a relaxed position, either sitting in a meditative pose or lying on your back; use a pillow and blanket for additional comfort. If you have a partner, you can lie on your stomach for access to the spinal area and back of the neck.

4. Strike the tuning fork in your relaxed position and if you have two equal forks hold them to either side of the head. If you only have one, hold it directly in front of your face with your eyes closed. Repeat until you feel deeply relaxed.

5. Strike the tuning fork and place its vibrating body as close as possible to but not touching the area where you wish to bring healing energy. Repeat and move to other areas or through energy channels.

6. Continue to hold the tuning fork or forks in place and remain still for several minutes after you no longer hear the tone. Some frequencies are not audible to the human ear but are working subtle vibrational healing.
