Directions For A Walker Caddy

Walkers help people achieve greater mobility and independence, either in recuperation from surgery, accident or other debilitation. Many walker-users customize their walkers by adding aftermarket attachments and devices to increase their utility. One of the most popular walker attachments is the walker caddy, which attaches to most walkers to provide a carrying and work surface. With the right tools and technique, you can install a walker caddy in a few steps.

Instructions

1. Unfold the walker to its working position and lock it in place.

2. Remove the walker caddy from its packaging and set aside the attachment bars and bolts.

3. Place the walker caddy on the walker so that it rests on top of the front upper support bar.

4. Hook an attachment bracket over one of the handrails and hold it in place so that the nearest hole lines up with the bolt hole on that side of the walker caddy.

5. Insert the retaining screw through the attachment bracket and into the screw hole in the side of the walker caddy.

6. Tighten the bolt with pliers. Repeat this process with the opposite side.
