Warning Signs Of Prostate Cancer







Prostate cancer is ultimately a form of cancer that usually remains within the prostate, because it is a fairly slow-growing disease. Yet, sometimes it metastasizes into the lymph nodes or the bones. This is typically a more aggressive form of the disease. With any form of cancer, there will be certain warning signs that can enlighten a person to the state of his health, including prostate cancer.


Urinary Problems


One of the most obvious signs of prostate cancer involves urination. This usually manifests as a dull to moderate pain while urinating. It may also develop as a difficulty in urination, both in starting and stopping. Some people also experience more frequent urination or the need to urinate as well as a cessation in urination, even though they may not have changed the amount of liquids they are consuming.








Blood


Another fairly common warning sign of prostate cancer is blood in a man's urine or even semen. The presence of blood can be exclusive or inclusive to both.


Pain


Besides the pain during urination, prostate cancer may also produce a pain upon ejaculation. This may accompany the presence of blood in the semen.


Skeletal Issue


Due to the nature of prostate cancer, it often metastasizes to the bone (in later stages of the disease). When this happens, the patient usually experiences a certain amount of pain described as deep within the bone. This pain usually persists is dull or throbbing. A person may also experience breaks and fractures that wouldn't normally occur.


Mobility Issues


Some people who have seen the cancer spread to the bones may also suffer from mobility issues, such as trouble walking or even a weakness when trying to get around. This may be accompanied by a tingling sensation or a lack of feeling in the legs.


Swelling


When prostate cancer has spread, namely to the lymph nodes, unexplained swelling in his legs may be accompanied by an overall ache or tenderness to the pelvic region of his body.
