Stop Hair Loss And Avoid Dullness

Preventing hair loss is as easy as selecting the correct shampoo. Dull hair can also be perked up with a few simple steps.

Instructions

1. If you are concerned about hair loss, now is the time to stop it in its tracks! In the shampoo aisle of your local grocery store or pharmacy, select a shampoo that contains Rogaine, a medication that slows hair loss. Or you can select the Rogaine solution that you apply directly to your scalp.

2. Be sure to buy the correct formulation of Rogaine. Women should NOT use the men's product and men should not use the women's product.

3. You will need to use the product religiously (some formulas are used twice a day) following the enclosed instructions, you should see results in about two months. In a few cases, results are noticeable in four months. You may find that your hair loss stops before that. In many cases, hair will become thicker and you will begin to regrow hair you have lost.

4. To avoid dullness, be sure to rinse your hair thoroughly after shampooing. Using cold water to rinse your hair will add shine to your hair and decrease dullness.

5. Using the same shampoo daily can cause dullness. Once per week try a deep cleaning shampoo like Neutrogena's deep cleansing.

6. If you have very hard water or use well water, your water may be making your hair dull. Mix a few tablespoons of white vinegar into a gallon of cold water to rinse your hair. If this works, you'll know the problem is your water, not your hair.
