Literally meaning 'three fruits' in Sanskrit, Triphala is the name of a traditional Ayurvedic herbal remedy rooted in ancient Indian culture containing the three herbal fruits Amalaki, Haritaki and Bibhitaki. Amalaki
Commonly known the Indian Gooseberry, Amalaki is one of the three fruits in Triphala herbs. Haritaki

Bibhitaki
The third fruit in the Triphala herb is Bibhitaki, whose name means "one who keeps you away from disease". Commonly found in Indian forests, the small brownish fruit is said to nourish the throat, lungs, eyes and hair. Bibhitaki is a rejuvenative, a laxative and an astringent.
