Recipe For Orange Massage Oil

Massage Oils

Massages promote healing to our aching muscles, and adding essential oils to a massage can promote additional benefits. One such oil contains essence of orange, which has a pleasant, citrus scent often used in aromatherapy. It is important to keep the orange massage oil stored in a cool, dark place so that it won't spoil between uses.

Recipe No. 1

Thoroughly clean a small, empty bottle. Place two drops of orange essential oil, 10 drops of grapeseed oil, seven drops of sandalwood essential oil, two drops of rose essential oil and one drop of cinnamon essential oil in the bottle. Screw the cap on the bottle and shake until all the ingredients are mixed. "Heat" some of the oil in your hands by rubbing them together vigorously, then apply to the skin.

Recipe No. 2

This recipe is safe enough to use on your baby. Babies respond well to touch and can be given a massage, which may help her sleep more peacefully. Place 4 oz. of olive oil, five drops of orange essential oil, and five drops of lavender essential oil in a clean, small bottle. Place the lid on the container and shake vigorously. Place several drops of the oil in your hands and warm it up by rubbing them together, then massage.

Recipe No. 3

Place a quarter-cup of olive oil and a quarter-cup of hazelnut oil in a clean bottle. Add five drops of orange essential oil, five drops of cinnamon essential oil, and 10 drops of ylang-ylang oil. Screw the top on the bottle and mix well. Warm some of the oil in your hands before applying to the skin for a relaxing massage.
