There are a number of method for getting rid of fleas inside.
When fleas invade, it can be analogous to waging a war to get rid of them. Within a week they can infest your house, embedding in the sofa and biting you in your bed at night. Treating your dog with Frontline is a good starting point for prevention, but humans can also traffic fleas inside. There are a number of steps you can follow to exterminate these pesky critters, but if the infestation has gone too far, you may need to bring out the big guns: foggers or even a pest control professional.

Methods
1. Check your pet for fleas. Use a special flea comb, as it is difficult to find them by just running your hand over your pet's fur. Run the comb backward across the hair for best results. The comb will snag the fleas, and you can then dip it in a bowl of soapy water to drown them. Use Frontline or a similar flea treatment product if the combing method does not work.
2. Vacuum floors, carpets and sofas, concentrating on areas where pets sleep, play or could generally transfer fleas into your house. Seal and dispose of any vacuum bags after you have finished.
3. Mop the floor using soap and water. Scrub all carpets with an insecticide treatment. Make sure to clean beneath furniture as well. Wash all bedding thoroughly with hot water.
4. Use foggers if the infestation is deeper and the previous steps have not produced the desired results. Place one in each room. Turn off pilot lights and remove all animals from the premises. Position the fogger on a magazine or newspaper to protect surfaces. Do not return to the house for three hours or as directed on the product. Thoroughly vent the house before allowing children and animals back inside.
5. Use other, environmentally safe products, such as "Fleabusters" powder, if you are uncomfortable with the more toxic foggers. After vacuuming the floor and carpets, sprinkle the powder around your living space, making sure to hit the perimeters. Dust the powder beneath sofa cushions as well. Brush it into your carpets then vacuum the excess. Make sure to seal the vacuum bag in a plastic bag and discard it. Repeat these steps for two weeks until successful.
