Crystals have been used to bring healing and balance to humans for centuries. While some believe they work through vibration and resonance to affect specific aspects of life or health, there is no hard science to back up these claims. The top five crystals believed useful for diabetes management are emerald, malachite, serpentine, chrysocolla and opal.
Emerald
Judy Hall, author of "The Crystal Bible: A Definitive Guide to Crystals," writes that this classic green stone aids in recovery after illness and assists in healing malignant conditions while alleviating diabetes. Position it near the center of the body to affect the pancreas, or wear on the ring or little finger.
Malachite
This should be worn around the waist to treat diabetes, according to Hall. It also is said to be useful for everything from menstrual cramps and asthma to arthritis and epilepsy.
Serpentine
serpentine, lesser known than its counterparts, is supposed to be useful for cleansing and detoxifying the body and blood. The book directs you to hold on the midline for diabetes treatment.
Chrusocolla
According to Hall, the turquoise-colored chrysocolla is useful for insulation regulation as its primary use is to balance blood components. Place as appropriate.
Opal
Opal is pretty to look at and is supposed to strengthen the will to live. Its role in diabetes management is to regulate insulin and purify the blood, according to Hall. Wear on the little finger or place as appropriate.
Alternative Medicine
Use of crystals in this manner is a form of alternative medicine. A physician should be consulted when undertaking any alternative treatment.
