Eat Five Times Per Day On Jenny Craig

Most of us are accustomed to eating two or three meals per day. However, the best way to lose weight and stay full is to eat five times per day. This is a little challenging at first simply because most of us are used to eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner. However, adding two additional meals to the mix while scaling the others down a bit.

Instructions

Eat Five Times Per Day on Jenny Craig

1. Eat breakfast daily. The first meal of the day should always be breakfast. It is very important to eat breakfast because it gets your body the energy it needs to start the day. Also, your metabolism gets started early when you eat breakfast so make sure when you are on Jenny Craig you eat a healthy breakfast. You will be eating again in about two hours so don't eat a big breakfast. Just eat something light like a yogurt and some wheat toast or a scrambled egg. You will be full and have energy to start your day!

2. Indulge in a mid-morning snack. A great mid-morning snack is an apple with some light peanut butter or else some string cheese. It's a good idea to have a snack that has non-refined carbs and also some good fats. The good fats make the carbs metabolize slower, which means your blood sugar will stay stable longer. When your blood sugar is stable you will feel full longer and have less cravings. This means you won't graze throughout the day because you won't be hungry .

3. Enjoy lunch, and take your time in eating. You will want to eat a lunch that is slightly larger than your mid-morning snack, but not as big as a typical lunch. A good suggestion would be a sandwich on wheat with a side salad and light dressing. After your lunch you will feel full and satisfied. If you have a sweet tooth, have one of those snack size candy bars. You will satisfy your craving yet you won't break your Jenny Craig diet!

4. Eat a mid-afternoon snack for your fourth meal. You can eat a small piece of fruit, some cheese and crackers, or even half a sandwich. This meal will keep you full until dinner and you won't have a mid-afternoon meltdown where you eat something unhealthy and off your diet. You may not be accustomed to eating a mid-afternoon snack, but you can easily get in the practice and eat right at your desk or while driving around! Fruit and string cheese are really portable and perfect for this meal.

5. Consume dinner for your final meal. Your dinner should consist of lean protein, non-refined carbs, and vegetables. Dinner should be a meal that fills you up until bedtime but not that makes you overfull. You may be used to having a big dinner and feeling really full afterwards. However, you don't want to get too full. Just eat enough to fill up and then go to bed. You can eat again at breakfast!
