The museum also offers space for children's birthday parties. All party guests have access to the entire museum, as well as an activity room for presents and cake. Parties last for two hours and include exclusive use of the Great Lakes Room, a photo frame for guests to sign, use of the lighthouse birthday chair, a package of invitations and a birthday banner. The museum also provides a piñata, if you provide the contents with which to fill it. All decorations, refreshments and dishes must be provided by those throwing the party. Assistance with setup is provided by the museum.

Cottage Caf


Cottage Caf is a family dining restaurant that provides catering and space for both adult and child birthday parties. All setup, cleanup and food is provided by the restaurant, with meals priced on a per-guest basis. For large birthday gatherings, the caf has the Garden Room, which holds up to 70 people. Papa's Den is appropriate for more intimate gatherings and holds up to 20 guests. Menu tastings are available before booking the party allowing you to sample different items.

Timber Lanes Bowling


Timber Lanes Bowling is home to bowling lanes, a snack bar and a game room with pool tables, pinball and a jukebox. Offering two birthday-party packages, 2 weeks advanced notice is required. A minimum of eight people must participate in the party. Included with both party packages is an hour of bowling, exclusive use of the party room, a party pin for guests to sign and bowling shoes rentals. One package also includes soda and pizza.
