Make Spray Oil Scents

Make Spray Oil Scents

Spray oil scents are easy to make using nothing more than water and essential oils. They can be personalized to suit your individual tastes, and you can even use a combination of scents, if you desire. One 4-oz. recipe can make spray oil scents that can be used as air fresheners, body spray, or in a sauna or steam room to add the properties of the essential oils to the steam.

Instructions

1. Place a medium-sized funnel into the top of a fine-mist spray bottle. Pour 4 ozs. of spring or distilled water through the funnel and into the bottle.

2. Add approximately 120 drops (2 tsp.) of essential oils of choice to the bottle. Use a dropper to add the oils through the funnel. Any essential oils may be used, but try to complement the scents by using floral oils together, citrus oils together, or spicy oils together.

3. Remove the funnel from the spray bottle and replace the lid. Screw into place and shake well to combine the oil and water.

4. Set the spray bottle to the finest mist setting available. Spray several times facing away from you to clear any air and unscented water from the spray bottle tube.

5. Label the bottle with the contents, and store the spray oil scents in a cool, dry place. It will keep indefinitely when properly stored. Keep the bottle out of direct sunlight and out of humid areas such as the bathroom. Shake well before each use to redistribute the oil.
