Boost B Vitamins With Nutritional Yeast

Nutritional yeast is one of the most valuable nutritional supplements, particularly for those looking to boost protein and B vitamins. Nutritional yeast is naturally rich in most B complex vitamins and is now available fortified with B12 as well. It tastes great and a little goes a long way.

Instructions

1. Place nutritional yeast in a salt shaker with a spoonful of rice an use it regularly as a condiment for meals and snacks. You can sprinkle the yeast onto your meals, including salads, vegetable sides, rice, mashed potatoes and more. It can even be sprinkled on popcorn as a nutritional substitute for butter and salt.

2. Add 1/2 tsp. of nutritional yeast for every cup of liquid in gravies and sauces. The nutritional yeast boosts your B vitamin content, while adding flavor and helping to thicken your sauces and gravies.

3. Boost B-vitamins by mixing 1 Tbsp. of nutritional yeast for every 2 cups of other ingredients when making veggie or meat burgers, casseroles, stews and more. Because of it's fantastic cheesy flavor, it can also be sprinkled on pizza, lasagna, tacos, burritos and more.

4. Bake with nutritional yeast, adding 1 tsp. of yeast for each cup of flour used. The flavor will be a subtle addition for a boost in nutrition to sweet or salty baked goods.
